AFEA Congress President and CEO, Sissi Lignou, is elected President of IAPCO, marking a historic milestone for both the company and the Greek meetings industry, and further strengthening its leadership on a global level.
In the same year, AFEA Congress is appointed as the official Local Partner for the organization of the historic 144th IOC Session, while also winning the Gold Award in the “Best PCO” category at the 2025 Hospitality Awards for its role as long-standing PCO Partner of PAGE and the PAGE Annual Meeting 2025 in Thessaloniki, Greece.
Further strengthening its international presence, AFEA Congress signs a long-term partnership with ASAS and undertakes the association management of the Hellenic Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging, reinforcing its expertise in supporting scientific and medical communities.
AFEA Congress is appointed as the official Local Event Partner of the FIRST Global Challenge 2024, further strengthening its presence in the international arena of large-scale and high-impact events. For its outstanding delivery, the company receives the Silver Award in the “Sports Event” category at the Event Awards 2025.
AFEA Congress is also awarded the Silver Medal by EcoVadis in recognition of its strategy and performance in Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility, reaffirming its long-standing commitment to responsible growth.

AFEA proudly becomes a member of IAPCO, which is a milestone in itself, as we are one of only four PCOs in Greece admitted for membership. Moreover, our CEO, Sissi Lignou, has been an elected member of the IAPCO BoD since 2021, following her active volunteering role in the Association’s activities.
AFEA becomes a member of HAPCO (Hellenic Association of PCOs). Our active participation, for more than 15 years in the BoD of HAPCO (from the position of General Secretary), has led our CEO to now hold the position of President of the Association for the mandate 2022-2025.
