AFEA, an active member of IAPCO, participated in the 50th IAPCO Annual Meeting and General Assembly, which took place in Basel, Switzerland, on February 14-17, 2019.
The congress brought together event professionals from around the globe, who gathered to discuss and exchange views about the latest advances in this constantly evolving field of the Meetings Industry. Highlights of the topics presented during this 3-day interactive meeting, where "Innovate or Die", "Critical Thinking" and "Positive Leadership".
The Conference’s theme was "Conference 5.0" following IAPCOs 50th birthday, which was celebrated throughout the event and especially during a magnificent Gala dinner. During their stay in Basel delegates had the chance to explore the city through the participation at the “IAPCO Fun Run & Walk”, as well as other afternoon activities which brought them to the highlight of the city.
AFEA actively participated and contributed to the educational program of the IAPCO 2019 Meeting, by moderating an “Innovation” Session on 3d organ printing. The moderation was implemented by Sissi Lygnou, AFEA CEO.Last but not least, AFEA received the IAPCO recognition award for the joint collaboration with ERA & ERASMUS regarding the successful organization of the IAPCO EDGE Athens in 2017.
