AFEA Congress is honored to have been part of the IAPCO Congress 2024 which was an astounding success, but also an important milestone for AFEA Congress' history, as its President & CEO, Sissi Lignou, was nominated and elected President-Elect of IAPCO, succeeding the incumbent President, Sarah Markey-Hamm at the #IAPCO2025 AM & GA in Taipei, Taiwan.
This important recognition comes at the perfect timing, aligned with the launch of AFEA Congresses’ new brand identity.

A brief summary of AFEA's common course with IAPCO
AFEA is one of the leading experts in the Meetings Industry with more than 45 years of history. 2009 marks the beginning of what would be a long-lasting partnership, when AFEA becomes accredited by the International Association of Professional Congress Organizers (IAPCO), the leading international association for PCO’s and event management companies globally, making AFEA one out of the three Greek PCO’s to have the privilege of being members. After many years of constructive efforts and constant progress, in 2021 AFEA’s CEO gets elected at the BoD as a board member, making her the first Greek Member. In the same year, AFEA wins the IAPCO Driving Excellence Collaborations Award on Sustainability Actions Implemented in Collaboration with CSR Hellas Network. Today, just a few years later, AFEA Congresses’ long lasting collaboration with IAPCO not only continues but strengthens as we enter a new era of partnership with AFEA’s CEO undertaking the duties of President-Elect.
